Oscar Buzz for a Single Man?

Might Tom Ford’s A Single Man but an Oscar dark horse? New York Magazine seems to think so. Hidden in their “Oscar Futures” column (which places the conventional wisdom on Precious for just about every category), is the prediction that Ford’s film will score nominations for Best Picture, Best Actor (Colin Firth) and Best Supporting Actress (Julianne Moore).  Alas, no prediction of a Best Director of Best Adapted Screenplay nod for Ford himself.
