I have been very excited to see The September Issue, the R.J. Cutler documentary on the putting together of the most important issue of the year for Vogue. With the rumors, mystique, and purported “drama” of Anna Wintour, the movie was to be the real life version of the Devil Wears Prada. But it was so much more. Yes, there was Anna being cold, impatient and as “Pope-like” as she is rumored to be. But the real star of The September Issue is Grace Goddington, Vogue’s Creative Director. Quite simply, Grace stole the show. I’ve long appreciated Ms. Coddington’s body of work, but after watching The September Issue I walked away in awe of her talent and very much inspired. Grace proves to be Vogue’s true star, brilliant, quiet, lovely and witty. I fell in love with her talent, her style, and yes, her grace. Bravo, Grace!
