Superior Labor

One of my favorite blogs, A Continous Lean, recently introduced me to my new obsession: the Superior Labor tote bag from Utility Coop.   But they are sold out!  I’m scouring the Internet because I must find one….

More from Florence

With all this talk of Italy lately at MD, I’m dreaming of hopping on a plane and heading over myself.  A few more looks courtesy of the wonderful Sartorialist for Men.Style.Com.

Marc & Madonna

Marc Jacobs and Madonna.  A beautiful collaboration for Louis Vuitton.

John Varvatos Milan

John Varvatos chose to tell us how to rock flannel and tweed for Fall 09.  And rock out he did.  The collection was dark, sexy, and full of texture.  This was John’s first showing in Milan since his fall ’03 show that was not well received.  After a six year absence, he’s back  in Milan like many designers because, according to WWD, “the timing of New York Fashion Week does no service to American men’s wear..”

Alexander McQueen Milan

Amazing.  Simply amazing.  You can ALWAYS count on Mr. McQueen to put on a show (drama).  And he did not let us down.  Very Gangs of New York meets Jack the Ripper.  Impeccable suiting, fabulous knits, outerwear and accessories. Wish I had been there.

From Florence

I love this shot.  The big wooden doors, the tweed, denim, leather.  It all works so well together.  Again, thanks to The Sartorialist for bringing us a look at what’s happening in Florence.

Bottega Veneta Milan

What can I say about the Bottega Veneta Fall 09 collection other than, I loved it!  Fantastic from start to finish.  The line is simply elegant and very comfortable. The color palette (chocolates and grays) was spot on, and overall the collection did nostalgic comfort in a new way.  Loved it.  I need a new budget to go buy everything you see below…

Salvatore Ferragamo Milan

Ferragamo is generally very consistent. You know what you are getting when you buy Ferragamo.  However, the Fall 09 show in Milan seemed like three separate shows all lumped together.  It’s like Massimiliano Giornetti lost his edit function and had a bit of an orgy on the runway.  There were definitely some standout’s in the show, but overall I was confused.  A few non-suit looks below.
