So far this week, for me, the standout in the menswear collections for Spring ’09 is Michael Bastian. The collection is classic American sportswear at its best. Preppy, chic, all American, and fun. Michael’s choice of cuts and color (pinks, blue’s and neutrals) are spot on, and I am particularly enamoured with the cut, and rough edges of the shorts shown in the show. The throwback 70′s sensibility is fabulous. It makes you want to go sailing in the Hamptons and then hit up Studio 54. Check out the full collection HERE courtesy of men.style.com
